Abstract

Excited states and associated resonance widths in the He4 system for Jπ=4, 5, 5+, and 6+ are calculated within the framework of the generalized R-matrix methodology of Lane and Robson. All calculated levels lie well above the known resonances in the He4 system. The effect of the Coulomb interaction on the He4 continuum wave functions is also discussed.

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE Calculated Jπ=4, 5, 5+, and 6+ resonance positions and associated widths in the He4 system. All states lie above 55 MeV excitation.
