Abstract

The deviations of the π±-induced neutron knockout cross section ratios from the impulse approximation, as measured in a recent deexcitation γ ray experiment on Li7, are shown to be in good agreement with the modified nucleon charge exchange model with reasonable charge exchange probabilities.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS Ratios of σ[Li7(π±, πN)Li*6(3.56 MeV], detect deexcitation γ, Tπ=50 to 290 MeV, probability of recoil nucleon charge exchange.
