Abstract
A marked dependence of the tensor analyzing power for () reactions on the quantum numbers and of the captured neutron has been observed. This small angle and dependence, which can be reproduced in distorted-wave Born-approximation calculations only by inclusion of deuteron -state effects, is interpreted in terms of a simple reaction model based on the surface localization of the transfer process.
