Abstract

The reaction O16(N14, B10)Ne20 was studied at 155 MeV. The reaction mechanism shows characteristics of a direct α transfer process with high-spin enhancement. Observed transitions are discussed in terms of high rotational bands, and high-spin members of the SU(3) (9,0) and (12,0) bands are assigned.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS O16(N14, B10), E=155 MeV; Ne20 deduced levels; semiclassical reaction model, SU(3) model; deduced rotational bands.
