Off-shell πN effects and the reaction C13(π+,π0)N13

Abstract

We have calculated the pion single-charge-exchange reaction C13(π+,π0)N13, using the distorted wave impulse approximation. We studied the influence of the off-shell effects by performing the calculation in momentum space with and without form factors in the πN amplitude. We also studied the effect of changing the shape of the neutron distribution.
