Interpretation of Ti44 as a soft asymmetric rotor

Abstract

The positive parity levels in Ti44 below 4.2 MeV and many of the E2 transitions between them are fairly successfully explained using a soft asymmetric rotor model. A brief discussion of suggested negative parity states is also given.
