Abstract

We present the results of a calculation of the recently measured asymmetry of the 110-keV γ ray emitted in the ½½+ transition in F19. Our results, for the usual choice of parity nonconserving potential, are consistent with the observed asymmetry.

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE F19. Calculated parity mixtures of ½+ g.s. and ½ first excited state. Deduced asymmetry of 110-keV γ ray. Conventional PNC interaction. Short range correlations.
