Abstract

The Be9(Li7, α)B12 reaction has been studied at E(Li7)=20 MeV using a multiangle spectrograph. Thirty-seven states of B12 with Ex<14 MeV have been observed. Angular distributions are presented for the first seven states of B12. The neutron reduced widths extracted from experimental total widths of the positive parity states are compared with shell-model predictions.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS Be9(Li7, α), E=20 MeV; measured σ(θ). Γ, B12 deduced levels.
