Abstract

We have calculated single and double charge exchange of pions on Be9, C13, B11, and O18. The results are in rough agreement with the currently available experimental results.

[NUCLEAR REACTIONS O18(π+,π0), E=180 MeV; calculated σ(E); O18(π+,π), E=180 MeV; calculated σ(E); C13(π+,π0), E=30200 MeV; calculated σ(E); C13(π+,π0), E=180 MeV; calculated σ(θ); Be9(π+,π0), E=30250 MeV; calculated σ(E); Be9(π+,π), E=30250 MeV; calculated σ(E) to T=32 final states; Be9(π+,π0), E=175 MeV, calculated σ(θ) to ground and sum of final states; B9(π+,π), E=175 MeV, calculated σ(θ) to T=32 final states; B11(π+,π0), E=20250 MeV, calculated σ(E) to ground and sum of final states.]
