Na20 Beta Decay

Abstract

Conflicting data on Na20 β+ decay are discussed. Estimates show that the process Mg24(p,2n)Al23(β+)Mg23(0.0 MeV) (of indistinguishable half-life and end-point energy) interfered with early measurements of Mg24(p,αn)Na20(β+)Ne20(1.63 MeV).
