Abstract
Particle-hole multiplets in corresponding to the coupling of the proton with neutron holes in the , , , , , and shells have been observed by the reaction at 35 MeV with an over-all resolution of 5 keV in the deuteron spectra. The results generally show excellent agreement with the weak coupling model except for the hole states. However the observed multiplet states do contain a large fraction of the expected strength. There is also substantial agreement with earlier () work except for some spin assignments and in the location of the member of the , multiplet.
