Abstract

The two-particle shell-model spectra of ${}^{18}O$ and ${}^{18}F$ are studied using effective interactions obtained from phase-shift-equivalent nucleon-nucleon potentials. The spectra depend significantly on the off-shell behavior of the potentials.
