Abstract

Strong preferential excitation of the odd-parity levels in F18 and sharply forward-peaked angular distributions have been observed in the reaction N15(Li6,t)F18. These results imply that the reaction mechanism contains a direct component and that the odd-parity levels have large (p)1(sd)3 configurations.
