The elastic and inelastic (first excited state only) scattering of pions from ${}_{}{}^{12}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{C}$ is calculated by a method previously described and compared with data from 120 to 280 MeV. It is found that the agreement is comparable with other methods that have been used. An investigation of several possible sources of error in the method is also made.
