Elastic Scattering of Negative Pions from O16 in the Region of the (3, 3) Resonance

Abstract

The elastic differential cross sections for πO16 scattering have been measured for pions with kinetic energies 160, 170, 220, 230, and 240 MeV at laboratory angles from 15° to 77°. The cross sections are compared with the results of an optical-model calculation.
