Muon Capture in Li6 in the Ditriton Channel

Abstract

Within the context of the impulse approximation we analyze the reaction μ+Li6H3+H3+ν using the current-current theory of weak interactions and an αd model of Li6 fitted to the binding energy and charge radius of Li6. The model is tested by considering the channel μ+Li6He6+ν. Within the limitations of our stated approximations, total rates are estimated for these two modes and the combined triton distribution given for the ditriton channel.
