Study of the Mechanism of the (α, 2α) Reaction on Li6

Abstract

The (α, 2α) reaction on Li6 has been studied at an incident energy of 42.8 MeV. At this energy, a sharp resonance in the free αα scattering cross section is used to test the validity of the impulse approximation. The experimental results are analyzed with this model.
