Singlet Deuteron Emission in a (He3, d) Reaction Described by Distorted-Wave Born Approximation

Abstract

Emission of singlet deuterons was observed in the reaction B10(He3,d )C11 by studying neutron-proton correlations. The resulting angular distributions are very similar to those of triplet deuterons and can be described in distorted-wave Born approximation assuming the d to behave like a single particle.
