Abstract

The angular distributions of He6 produced in the reactions Li7(Li7,He6)Be8, B10(Li7,He6)C11, and B11(Li7,He6)C12 were studied with lithium ions having energies of 3.0, 3.5, and 3.8 MeV. The yields were nearly isotropic in the center-of-mass system, except for that from B10, which was peaked in the forward direction. These reactions apparently proceed by a mechanism more complex than the transfer of a proton from one nucleus to another.
