Abstract

The reaction O16(t, p)O18 is analyzed, assuming contributions to the cross section from the possible core-excited states in the target to be negligible. The shell-model amplitudes and relative phases for the J=0+ and J=2+ states in O18 are calculated. Several solutions are obtained. The overlaps with some shell-model calculations are tabulated.
