Abstract

The reaction Ti50(d, p)Ti51 has been investigated at 6-MeV bombarding energy. The proton spectra were recorded simultaneously at 24 scattering angles with an energy resolution of 15 keV in the multigap heavy-particle spectrograph of Enge and Buechner. Values of the transferred neutron angular momenta and of the statistically weighted spectroscopic factors for 20 levels in Ti51 were derived from the measurements by a zero-range distorted-wave Born-approximation analysis. Deuteron optical-model parameters for this analysis were determined by elastic scattering experiments. The results are discussed briefly in terms of the shell model with residual interactions.
