Abstract
The elastic-scattering differential cross sections and the cross section for the reaction have been measured in the neighborhood of energies corresponding to the 18.6-Mev level in the compound nucleus . The reaction data are essentially in agreement with earlier data having a maximum in the total cross section of approximately 0.94 barn. The interference between the elastic scattering and reaction process make the elastic-scattering cross sections at about 40 percent less than Rutherford scattering.
