Abstract

The dt and dHe3 differential elastic scattering cross sections have been measured for the 10-Mev deuteron bombarding energy of the external beam of the Los Alamos cyclotron. Nuclear plates detected the charged particles in the angular region 30° to 140° in the c.m. coordinate system. Although the cross section as a function of angle shows marked asymmetries, indicative of scattering contributions from partial waves of high angular momentum, the two curves are identical above 45° in the c.m. system.
