Electromagnetic contribution to the proton-neutron mass splitting

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE 1H, 1n; calculated electromagnetic contribution to proton-neutron mass splitting by combining RBC lattice simulations and modified Cottingham sum rule of Walker-Loud, Carlson and Miller, estimate of isovector nucleon magnetic polarizability as a function of pion mass. Relevance to accurate estimate of contribution to proton-neutron mass difference from difference of the masses of the up and down quarks. Comparison with experimental value.
