NUCLEAR REACTIONS ²⁰⁸Pb(p, p'), E=22 MeV; ²⁰⁸Pb(α, α'), E=40 MeV; ²⁰⁷Pb(d, p), E=20 MeV; measured particle spectra, σ(θ). ²⁰⁸Pb deduced no evidence for two-phonon excitation.
