Role of scalar dibaryon and f0 (500) in the isovector channel of low-energy neutron-proton scattering

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 1H(n, n), at p<0.4 GeV; calculated total and differential σ(E, θ) in the isospin I=1 channel for np scattering; deduced role of scalar dibaryon and f0(500) resonance. Chiral model containing quark-antiquark pseudo-scalar and axial-vector mesons, and a scalar isoscalar state. Comparison with experimental data.
