Determination of deuteron quadrupole moment from calculations of the electric field gradient in D2 and HD

NUCLEAR MOMENTS 2H; analyzed available data on spectroscopic measurements of the quadrupolar splitting in D2 and HD; calculated the electric field gradient at the nucleus in the H2 molecule using high accuracy Born-Oppenheimer; deduced the quadrupole moment of the deuteron nucleus.
