Sub-barrier radioactive ion beam investigations using a new methodology and analysis for the stacked target technique

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 120Sn(6Li, X), E=17-25 MeV; analyzed beam energy distribution in a thick and stacked target using substrates of 93Nb and 165Ho, thickness probability distribution, fusion σ(E). 120Sn(9Li, X), E=16.5-20 MeV; analyzed fusion σ(E), energy distribution inside a thin target. Re-evaluation of some previously published sub-barrier fusion data to demonstrate the possibility of misinterpretations of derived excitation functions. Discussed analysis problems in associating measured average cross-sections with the correct beam energy.

Heavy residue excitation functions for the collisions 6, 7Li+64Zn near the Coulomb barrier

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 64Zn(6Li, X), (7Li, X), E=10-30 MeV; measured x-ray spectra, activity decay curves, σ(E) for heavy residues of 64,65Zn, 64,65,66,67,68,69Ga, 66,67,68,69,70Ge, 69As using activation technique; deduced competition between complete fusion (CF), incomplete fusion (ICF) and direct cluster transfer (DCT) reaction mechanisms. Comparison with statistical model calculations for CF and ICF mechanisms using CASCADE computer code, and with finite-range DWBA calculations for DCT mechanism using FRESCO computer code.
