First Observation of the Scintillaton Light from Solid Xe, Kr and Ar with a CsI Photocathode

RADIOACTIVITY ²⁴¹Am(α); measured scintillation light pulse height spectra, electron number vs electric field with sources in Xe, Kr, Ar; deduced solid rare gas scintillating detectors development possibility. Photocathode developed by vacuum deposition of CsI vapor at high temperature.
