Measurement of the ¹³C(n, γ) thermal cross section via neutron irradiation and AMS

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹³C(n, γ), E=reactor[neutron beam from high-flux ILL research reactor to produce ¹⁴C atoms]; measured ¹⁴C/¹³C ratio using VERA Accelerator Mass Spectrometer allowing to determine ¹³C(n, γ)/¹⁴C thermal σ accurately at sub-eV region; deduced good agreement with other recent measurements using Prompt Gamma-ray Activation Analysis.
