Photonuclear Fission from High Energy Electrons from Ultraintense Laser-Solid Interactions

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ²³⁸U(γ, F), E ≈ 10 MeV bremsstrahulung; measured Eγ, Iγ(t) following fission fragment decay; deduced relative fragment yields. ^63,65Cu, ¹⁹⁷Au(γ, n), E ≈ 10-15 MeV bremsstrahlung; measured yields. Bremsstrahlung γ-ray beam from laser interaction with gold target.
