Elastic scattering and α production in the 9Be + 89Y system

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 89Y(9Be, 9Be), E=18.6, 20.6, 22.7, 24.7, 26.7, 28.7, 33.2 MeV; measured particle spectra, elastic σ(θ, E), inclusive breakup-α σ(θ); deduced ratio of elastic and Rutherford σ(θ), reaction σ at BARC-TIFR Pelletron facility; deduced optical potential parameters, reaction σ(E). Comparison with continuum-discretized coupled-channel (CDCC) and coupled reaction channel (CRC) calculations with α+5He and 8Be+n cluster models. Indication of breakup threshold anomaly (BTA) for the system. Comparison of reduced σ(E) data from reactions involving scattering of 4He on 89Y, 92Mo, 112,120,124Sn targets, 6He on 122Sn, 6Li on 90Zr, 138Ba, 7Li on 138Ba, 9Be on 27Al, 64Zn, 89Y, 144Sm, 208Pb, 209Bi, 12C on 144,152Sm, and 16O on 40Ca, 92Zr, 138Ba.

Asymmetry in resonant breakup peaks in 6Li+209Bi reaction

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 209Bi(6Li, α), (6Li, d), E=36, 40 MeV; measured Eα, Iα(θ), Ed, Id(θ), dα-coin; deduced σ(θ). 209Bi(6Li, 6Li), E=36, 40 MeV; measured σ(θ). Comparison with CDCC calculations. Sequential breakup via resonant state.
