Ground-State Bands and Excitation Modes in ¹⁸³Hg

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹⁵⁵Gd(³²S, 4n), E=160 MeV; measured γγ-, γ(X-ray)-coin. ¹⁸³Hg deduced high-spin levels, J, π, B(λ) ratios, γ-multipolarity, band structure, aligned angular momenta. Low energy photon spectrometer, BGO multiplicity filter.
