Examining the EMC effect using the Fn2 neutron structure function

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 2H, 4He, 9Be, C, Al, Ca, Fe, Ag, Au(e, e'), Q2=4-22 GeV2; analyzed deep inelastic scattering (DIS) experimental data available from the CTEQ-Jefferson Lab (CJ) Collaboration using a new method to investigate the EMC effect (named after European Muon Collaboration) for the magnitude of the medium modifications to the free neutron and proton structure functions independently; deduced that a correlation is still observed between the resultant EMC slope and short range correlated pairs in the nucleus, when deuteron nuclear effects removed.
