NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹⁹⁷Au(¹⁹⁷Au, X), E=9-15 MeV/nucleon; measured intermediate mass fragment production data; analyzed fission products mass distribution; deduced two-step mechanism role in former case. Catcher foil experiments, foil stacks, off-line assay of X-ray, γ-ray spectroscopy.
