First Observation of Excited States in ¹⁸²Pb

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹⁴⁴Sm(⁴²Ca, 4n), E=213 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, (recoil)γ-coin. ¹⁸²Pb deduced levels, possible J, π, rotational band, shape coexistence features. Recoil decay tagging.
