Search for periodic modulations of the rate of double-β decay of 100Mo in the NEMO-3 detector

RADIOACTIVITY 100Mo(2β-); measured two electrons in final state of 0νββ decay, decay rates and power spectra using NEMO-3 detector; searched for periodic modulations of double-β decay rate by Lomb-Scargle periodogram technique, and its error-weighted extension; deduced no evidence of modulations with amplitude greater than 2.5% at the 95% confidence level.

Search for triple and quadruple β decay of 150Nd

RADIOACTIVITY 150Nd(3β-), (4β-); measured Eγ, Iγ using a 400 cm3 low-background HPGe detector and 3046 g sample of Nd2O3 powder at the Modane Underground Laboratory; searched for decay to the ground and excited states of 150Eu and 150Gd; deduced no evidence for these decays, lower limits on the half-life for decays to the ground and excited states in daughter nuclei. Comparison with previous experimental lower limits on half-lives for 4β- decay, and with theoretical estimates.
