Experimental study of the astrophysical γ-process reaction ¹²⁴Xe(α, γ)¹²⁸Ba

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹²⁴Xe(α, γ)¹²⁸Ba, ¹²⁴Xe(α, n)¹²⁷Ba, E=11-15 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, σ(E) by activation method using a thin window gas cell. Comparison with Hauser-Feshbach statistical model calculations, ¹²⁴Xe+α optical potential, astrophysical gamma-process, and supernova models.
