Effects of the symmetry energy on the isovector properties of neutron-rich nuclei within a Thomas-Fermi approach

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE 208Pb, 124Sn, 90Zr, 48Ca; calculated binding energy, neutron and proton radius and density distributions, neutron skin thickness, asymmetry coefficient and functions, nuclear symmetry energy. Variational method in the framework of the Thomas-Fermi approximation to investigate effect of symmetry energy on isovector properties of many neutron rich nuclei of Ca, Zr, Sn and Pb.
