Constraining the transport coefficient in cold nuclear matter with the Drell-Yan process

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 1H, 195Pt(π, X), E=150 GeV; 9Be, 56Fe, 184W(p, X), E=800 GeV; 2H, 56Fe(p, X), E=120 GeV; calculated nuclear Drell-Yan differential cross section ratios as a function of the quark momentum fraction; analyzed experimental data from NA3 and E866 Collaborations, and Fermilab E906 Sea Quest experiment; deduced transport coefficients. Salgado-Wiedemann (SW) quenching weights and the analytic parametrizations of quenching weights based on Baier-Dokshitzer-Mueller-Peigne-Schiff (BDMPS) formalism. Relevance to precise values of the transport properties of the quark-gluon plasma.
