Improved FIFRELIN de-excitation model for neutrino applications

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE 156,158Gd; analyzed available data; deduced the de-excitation of Gd isotopes using the FIFRELIN Monte Carlo code built on the low-energy level scheme with extensive use of known evaluated nuclear levels from the RIPL-3 database within the purposes of the STEREO experiment.

Neutron and γ multiplicities as a function of incident neutron energy for the 237Np(n, f) reaction

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 237Np(n, F), E=0.8, 5.5 MeV; calculated preneutron fragment mass yields, total kinetic energy, average total prompt neutron and γ multiplicities, and fragment temperature as function of fragment mass, initial state (energy and angular momentum) distributions for the two fission fragments using spin cutoff models and the FIFRELIN computer code. Investigated excitation energy sharing mechanism between the fission fragments, and the fragment angular momentum generation process. Comparison with experimental data.
