Understanding the thermometry of hot nuclei from the energy spectra of light charged particles

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE 120Sn; calculated light charged particle (n, p, d, t, 3He, α) sequential emission yield vs Eout at initial E*=1.5, 4 MeV/nucleon, mean correlation between initial temperature and true apparent temperature separately for each type of emitted particles using GEMINI and SIMON codes within Weisskopf theory in the form explicitely containing nuclear temperature; deduced influence on detection efficiency by INDRA detector array.

Validation of a new "3D calorimetry" of hot nuclei with the HIPSE event generator

NUCLEAR REACTIONS Sn(Xe, X), E=50 MeV/nucleon; calculated total detected charge as a function of the detected pseudomomentum, distribution of impact parameters, transverse kinetic energy and average detection efficiency of light charge particles as a function of the impact parameter, mean charge and mean parallel velocities of the two heaviest fragments, proportions of the various types of reaction mechanisms, mean correlations between the excitation energy, charge, and velocity of the quasiprojectile (QP) and the transverse kinetic energy using Heavy Ion Phase Space Exploration (HIPSE) event generator.
