Next-to-leading order scalar contributions to μ → e conversion

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ²⁷Al, ⁴⁸Ti, ¹⁹⁷Au, ²⁰⁸Pb(μ^-, e^-), at nuclear Fermi momentum=238-265 MeV; calculated μ to e conversion rates, dimensionless overlap integrals, LO, NLO, and two-nucleon contributions using standard model effective field theory (SM-EFT), including next-to-leading order (NLO) terms in one- and two-nucleon interactions in chiral effective theory; discussed implications for testing Higgs-mediated charged lepton flavor violation (CLFV) in future experimental searches at Fermilab and J-PARC facilities.
