NUCLEAR REACTIONS 240Pu(n, F), E=0.5-3 MeV; measured fission fragment spectra using Atwin Frisch-grid ionization chamber (TFGIC) for fission fragments at Van de Graaff accelerator facility of JRC-IRMM, fission σ(E). 235U, 237Np, 238U(n, F), E=0.5-3.0 MeV; cross sections used as references for 240Pu(n, F) reaction, and benchmarked. Comparison with previous measurements, and with ENDF/B-VII.1, JEFF 3.1 and JENDL 4.0 evaluated libraries. Relevance to needs for future generation of nuclear power plants (GEN-IV).

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 242Pu, 237Np, 235,238U(n, F), E=0.3-3 MeV; measured fission fragments, σ(E) ratios using data for 237Np, 235,238U as reference standards. Fission fragments detected using a twin Frisch-grid ionization chamber (TFGIC) at Van de Graaff accelerator of the JRC-IRMM, Geel. Comparison with previous experimental data, and with ENDF/B-VII.1, JEFF 3.1 and JENDL 4.0 evaluated libraries. High-priority request list of OECD-NEA, and relevance to next generation of nuclear power plants (GEN-IV) in the fast-neutron energy domain.
