K(α) X-Ray Yield from Alpha Particle Bombardment of Thick Targets

NUCLEAR REACTIONS Ge, Ti(α, X), (p, X), E < 50 MeV; ⁵⁵Mn, ⁴¹K, ³¹P(α, X), E < 100 MeV; calculated K X-ray thick target yields. Mo(α, X), E=32 MeV; Cd(α, X), E ≤ 36 MeV; Ta(α, X), E=27 MeV; Pb(p, X), E=18 MeV; Ta(p, X), E=15 MeV; measured K-shell X-ray spectra. Ta, Re(p, X), E=24-38 MeV; measured K(α) I(X-ray) vs E; deduced α projectile preferability.
