Nonmesonic weak decay of Λ hypernuclei: The ΛN- ΣN coupling

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE 12C, 28Si, 56Fe, 208Pb; calculated rates for neutron- and proton-induced weak decays, Γn, γp for hypernuclei, and compared with KEK-E508 and FINUDA experimental data, parity-violating (PV) and parity-conserving (PC) contributions of ΛN-ΣN coupling to neutron- and proton-induced weak decay rates. Microscopic diagrammatic approach extended to include ΛN-ΣN strong interaction coupling with one-meson-exchange potentials.
