Systematic study of fusion suppression and its dependency on projectile breakup threshold energy

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 93Nb(20Ne, X)109Sn/108Sn/105Cd/104Cd/109In/108In/107In/105In/103Ag/101Pd/100Rh/98Rh, E=145 MeV; measured reaction products, Eγ, Iγ; deduced σ and uncertainties, an empirical formula is proposed to interrelate the degree of fusion suppression and breakup threshold energy of the incident projectile. Comparison with the universal fusion function (UFF) to estimate the degree of fusion incompleteness, PACE4 calculations. The K130 cyclotron facility at the Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre (VECC), Kolkata, India.

Two-mode fission mechanism with three-Gaussian function. Comparison with experimental data, and calculations using TALYS and PACE4 codes.
