Analysis of nuclear structure in the nuclear chart and improvement to the gross theory of β decay

Z=8-150, N=8-350; surveyed change of spin and parity between neutron and proton single-particle levels for β-decay channel in the entire nuclear chart using the gross theory of β decay; deduced that regions of dominant forbidden transition distributed periodically in the nuclear chart, and that matrix elements for allowed g.s. to g.s. transitions get suppressed systematically in the neighborhood of heavier doubly magic nuclei. Comparison with experimental values, and with other theoretical predictions.
