Beta Asymmetry of the First Forbidden (1/2)⁺ → (1/2)^- Transition in ¹⁹Ne and Its Relationship to the Parity Nonconserving Nucleon-Nucleon Interaction

RADIOACTIVITY ¹⁹Ne(β⁺) [from ¹⁹F(p, n), E=12 MeV]; measured (βγ)-coin, β-asymmetry, oriented nuclei, branching ratio. ¹⁹Ne levels deduced (Γ/Γ(W)). ¹⁹F level deduced isovector parity mixing matrix element. Polarized source.
