Properties of low-lying states in 65Co from lifetime measurements

RADIOACTIVITY 65Fe(β-)[from U(p, F), E=1.4 GeV followed by ionization using a Resonance Ionization Laser Ion Source (RILIS) at ISOLDE-CERN facility]; measured Eγ, Iγ, βγ- and γγ-coin, half-life of 65Fe g.s. from decay curves for γ rays, level half-lives by βγ(t) and βγγ(t) using fast timing technique. 65Co; deduced levels, J, π, β feedings, logft, B(M1), and B(E2). Comparison with large-scale shell model calculations.

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE 65Co; calculated levels, J, π, occupation numbers using shell-model with LNPS effective interaction. Comparison with experimental data.

Search for shape-coexisting 0+ states in 66Ni from lifetime measurements

RADIOACTIVITY 66Co(β-)[from 66Mn -> 66Fe decay, 66Mn from U(p, F), E=1.4 GeV at ISOLDE-CERN facility using RILIS]; measured Eγ, half-life of an excited 0+ state by βγγ(t) method using LaBr3(Ce) crystals and two HPGe detectors for γ rays, and a fast plastic scintillator for beta particles. 66Ni; deduced levels, B(E2). Comparison with large-scale shell model calculations, and with previous experimental data.

Comparison with shell-model calculations. 64Fe; deduced levels populated by β-n decay mode. Systematics of energies and B(E2) values of first 2+ states in Z=24, 26, 28, N=34-46 nuclei.
